I agree with Ru-an, why should he retire at such a young age? Whilst he's motivated and winning tournaments he is here to stay. As a Murray fan, I'd like to see Roger stick around because that way, we'll see if Murray improves enough to beat him in a slam

I am sure he will retire soon. The moves and shots aren't what they USED TO BE.

Nice point about his fitness. Sharp contrast to the way Nadal runs himself into the ground.

However, I can't see him overturning his w/l record against Nadal, simply because he is 28 next month and the years are catching up on him.

Federer's legacy will only be confirmed on the day he overturns his Grand Slam final win-loss record against Nadal. His record of consistency (has played the last 40 consecutive Grand Slams, and been in the last 21 semis in those Grand Slams or better) is a testament to the way he plays the game - quite simply, he remains injury-free because of the unique way in which he plays the game, with touch and finesse being such a key aspect. Whilst he's injury-free, he remains in the top 2 in the world: he has shown this year his ability to improve his game for clay at Roland Garros, and there remains the possibility that he could demonstrate this by beating Nadal where he's most comfortable in the French Open
