Enter Shaqiri

The Cleveland Cavaliers have completed a giant move for 37 year old multi championship winning superstar Shaquille O’Neil. At over 7 foot and well over 300 pounds, a mammoth of a man is set to light up the Q.

There is not one player in the game today that commands more respect than Superman, the all-firing trailblazing genetic jackhammer. Even if he only plays half the season, his impact on and off the court is exactly what the Cavs need if they are to become NBA champions.

Out goes Ben Wallace, Sasha Pavlovic, half a million US Dollars and a second round draft pick for 2010. The Cavs aren’t giving too much up with Pavlovic, he has been poor for a couple of years now, and Ben Wallace has failed to reach the heights of earlier in the decade where he was the best defensive player in the NBA with no exceptions.

However, they are getting something completely different with Shaq, who is a future hall of famer who has done it all. The man with a 23 shoe size will take the burden off the Cavs 23, LeBron James, not that he has dealt with the burden badly. It may just make LeBron that much happier that the Cavs are making moves.

So will the Cavs win the NBA championship next year? They were not far off last year, and with the added experience within the team of a great regular season, added to by the experience of man mountain Shaq, they are better positioned than they have been in their entire history.
